My name is Ellen. I LOVE photography, Photoshop, the BoCoBabes (my scrapbooking sisters) and trying new things. I wanted to be an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps but I failed the hearing test. I have 2 sons, one spouse and a dog. I like to scrapbook, take things apart, travel, READ, and watch NASCAR. I always stand when I hear the Star Spangled Banner, even at home.
I work full-time because my job has the health insurance. I vote because other parents’ children died defending my right to do so. I was born in the mid-west, but I’m most at home in the Pacific. I enjoy a variety of sports, race walking, swimming, climbing, surfing, skating, etc. I practice yoga. I don’t cook unless it’s dessert. I’m very good with cheesecakes and creme brulee. But mostly I like chocolate.

Looks like we both started blogging around the same time–I also love reading, scrapbooking, and Photoshop . . . and I’m wondering if once we decide to have kids I will also need to be a working mom . . .
Hah! Boy I sure hope not Jenna. I would have stayed home in a heartbeat if I could have. Make sure your husband has good medical benefits…that’s what has me trapped

okay, that was an oops. What I didnt finish saying was I ALWAYS stand for the the anthem too and get emotional every single time I hear it.
Thank you Christina! I grew up in a very liberal family too…they were a bit put off when I applied for OCS w/ USMC. Hah! Do you have a favorite chocolate? Mine’s dark, but NEVER with marshmallows.
LOl, no liberal family, no way! I am the black sheep. My father was hardcore baptist/republican but a wonderful man. 25 years in the Air Force and my respect for him knows no bounds. I can hear his “SIGH” in my ear when I go to vote but he raised me to think for myself so its all his fault. I love any kind of chocolate and yes I am with you, marshmellows are yuck! Lets see, a favorite? I dont have a particular but I like milk choc and dark choc mixed together!
